Filipino

UBD students can study up to six units of Filipino which they can build to a minor as part of their degree program.

Currently the Filipino modules are in the process of being benchmarked to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This will ensure that the modules continue to be in keeping with best practice and international standards.

Filipino

Filipino language students showcased a traditional dance called Tinkling which involves dancing over long poles (see video at right). The students spent a lot of their free time practising for the performances. School groups were particularly keen to test their skills at Tinkling.

Other activities prepared and performed by students included Poetry readings and the Kappa Malong-Malong dance (see video at right).
