The 30th Japanese Speech Contest took place at the UBD Lecture Hall, IBTE Mechanical Campus on the 27th August 2016. The contest was organized by the UBD Language Centre, Institute of Brunei Technical Education – The Continuing Education and Training (IBTE-CET) and Embassy of Japan. The Speech Contest contestants included UBD students, IBTE-CET students and self-study students, competing in either Beginner or Advanced levels. The Advanced level winner received a flight ticket to Japan, sponsored by ANA (All Nippon Airways). All other contestants received certificates and small prizes from representatives from each of the organizers. .
